Distance Education (Online) Courses

Students may take a maximum of 6 credits of non-Music elective courses taught through distance education toward their B.Mus. degree at ´ó·¢²ÊƱƽ̨. Courses taught through distance education from institutions other than ´ó·¢²ÊƱƽ̨ will be approved as transfer credits under the following conditions:

  • The course is given by a government-accredited, degree-granting institution acceptable to ´ó·¢²ÊƱƽ̨.
  • The course must be assessed by the department which oversees the subject and be approved on ´ó·¢²ÊƱƽ̨'s Course Equivalency Database (see mcgill.ca/students/transfercredit/course-equivalency).
  • The course counts for credit toward degrees granted at the institution giving the course.
  • Prior approval for the course is obtained from the Music Student Affairs office.
