Informatique (Sci) : Conservative and optimistic synchronization involved in executing a discrete event simulation on a distributed platform (e.g. cluster of workstations, shared memory multiprocessor). Focus is on efficiency, strengths and limitations of the different approaches. Applications to large simulations (networks, VLSI, virtual environments).

Terms: This course is not scheduled for the 2024-2025 academic year.
