The talks will highlight the latest advances and discoveries in neuropsychology\, co gnitive neuroscience\, and neuroimaging.\n\nSpeakers will include scientis ts from across The Neuro\, as well as colleagues and collaborators locally and from around the world. The series is intended to provide a virtual fo rum for scientists and trainees to continue to foster interdisciplinary ex changes on the mechanisms\, diagnosis and treatment of brain and cognitive disorders.\n\n\nTo attend in person\, register here\n\nTo watch via Vimeo \, click here\n\n\nElizabeth Redcay\n\nProfessor of Psychology\, Universit y of Maryland\n\nAbstract: Successful social interaction is critical to de velopment\, well-being\, and mental health. This lecture explores studies employing naturalistic neuroimaging and behavioral approaches to examine f actors that predict social interaction success in typically developing you th and adults\, as well as youth on the autism spectrum. The findings high light that individual neural and cognitive factors\, such as social-cognit ive and social reward systems\, are not sufficient on their own. Instead\, the dyadic context\, including factors like neurotype match and synchrony \, also plays a crucial role in effectively predicting communication and s ocial interaction success.\n DTSTART:20241202T180000Z DTEND:20241202T190000Z LOCATION:De Grandpre Communications Centre\, Montreal Neurological Institut e\, CA\, QC\, Montreal\, H3A 2B4\, 3801 rue University SUMMARY:Feindel Brain and Mind Seminar Series: Predicting Interaction Succe ss Among Autistic and Nonautistic Adolescents and Young Adults: A Naturali stic Imaging Approach URL:/neuro/channels/event/feindel-brain-and-mind-semin ar-series-predicting-interaction-success-among-autistic-and-nonautistic-36 1366 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
