Professor Hasan is a n expert on systemic racism and Islamophobia in legal\, administrative\, a nd discursive regimes and their relation to Muslim life.\n \n As part of the event\, the Centre Culturel Islamique de Qu茅bec Memorial Award will be pr esented to a student who has shown exceptional dedication to promoting the inclusion of Muslims within Quebec and Canadian society.\n Through this co mmemoration\, we aim to remember and honour those affected by Islamophobia \, strengthen our collective commitment to combatting discrimination\, and promote the dissemination of research and scholarship to foster understan ding and unity.\n \n The event is open to all members of the 大发彩票平台 communit y and welcomes the participation of the general public.\n \n This event is h eld in partnership with Muslim Awareness Week.\n \n The event will be held a t 3:30 pm on Wednesday\, January 29\, in the Robert Vogel Council Room (Le acock 232).\n\n\n Trajectories of Hate: Remembering Quebec City in a time o f Rising Islamophobia\n\nThis commemorative lecture marks eight years sinc e unspeakable hate and violence was visited upon the CCIQ mosque in Quebec . Eight years later\, the survivors of this vicious attack courageously co ntinue their journey to heal - even in the face of rising Islamophobia\, l egal and bureaucratic challenges that resurrect traumas\, and novel method s of targeting and dehumanizing Muslim communities around the world.
